Why most people fail in clan wars

Our clan has been at clan wars for a while now and we're 9-2. Not bad! I've watched probably close to 100 attacks and seen players make the same mistakes over and over:

They ignore the troops in the clan castle!

This is the biggest noob move in the books and it's really frustrating to see this happen over and over again. You'd think after watching one stack of giants/hogs/whatever disappear people would start killing them first.

Apparently not.

So I made this handy little chart to show you (assuming you are attacking a fully maxed out TH 5) the difference in damage output between the base you are attacking and the three wizards in their clan castle.

But, but, but killing the wizards is hard! NO! It's not. All you have to do is pull them out from the clan castle, then drop 10 barbs and 10 archers and they are dead! My clan mate ben (who's been playing the game for about a day) did an excellent job at this on his first clan wars attack:

Step 1: Scout the base and see the aggro range of the clan castle

Step 2: Drop down a troop to pull the clan castle troops

Step 3: Lure them away from the defenses and space out 10 archers around them

Step 4: drop 10 barbs around them and watch them die!

Now go and kill some clan castle troops!
