What to do with your town hall in clan wars

If you're like a lot of clash players out there you have a Town Hall. Until clan wars started it really only served one purpose:

Getting you free 12 hour shields from noobs making 'trophy pushes'! (or if you're the 1% making you sad by losing you trophies)

But then clan wars came along and we had a difficult decision to make: put the Town Hall inside your base, or keep it out. There are arguments to be made for either side and I'm not entirely sure I know the answer, but I will be bold and say, "Stay the course and keep your Town Hall out in the cold!"

Why would you ever want to put your Town Hall outside your base in clan wars?

1. The Town Hall takes up a lot of space and does next to nothing on defense

When you actually put the town hall in your bases it screws up most designs because of its large footprint, it doesn't actually do anything on defense (besides soaking up some hits) and forces your defenses to be a little more spread out (which makes your defense weaker)

2. Offer 'Free' loot to the other them

There is nothing more tantalizing to lower level players than a high level player with a 'free' star and loot. More often than not they will break rank and attack you and if you can get at least 2 of them to do this you've earned a lot of defense for your team! Every attack against you after the first is a wasted attack and wasted attacks mean less stars overall.

Thus the advantages of doing this are:

• You're harder to 3 star
• You might cause the enemy team to break rank

And the disadvantages are:

• You're possibly easier to 2 star
• You will always give up 1 star

As I like to tell my team, if we all get 2 starred, we are probably going to win. (unless you are a noob at attacking!)
